On August 15, the Franciscan Sisters celebrated a special anniversary for Fr. David Young at the convent. Fr. David Young is the official chaplain for the Sisters and he is currently in residence at St. Sylvester Parish in Zaleski. It was 50 years ago that Fr. David took his First Vows with the Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus. On Fr. David’s vocation’s journey, he would later leave the order. After his time in the secular workforce as a counselor, he would be ordained as a permanent deacon and then, a priest for the Diocese of Columbus in 1995. The Sisters wanted to celebrate this special day for Fr. David’s vocation.
